Pastor Kevin brings a powerful message as we kick off First Wednesday for the fall season and prepare our hearts for Seek Week next week.

Each year on Labor Day weekend, 10 members of the Vortex staff have the chance to share for 5 minutes about what God is doing in their lives. This year the theme was 'without Christ' and 'In Christ'. It's a journey, into the heart of each person, as they share their lives before and after their relationship with Christ. There are 10 talks total and each one is unique and worth listening to. Pastor Eric Partin planted Shoreline Church in Destin, FL back in 2005. He serves as one of Vortex Church’s Overseers and is a constant source of wisdom and encouragement to Pastor Kevin and his family. Eric and his wife, Darlene, has a deep passion for reaching unchurched people and a deep love for their city. Eric is a pastor and leader who loves Jesus and people. That is evident in the church and within his family. We’re very excited to have him with us today!

Shaun Olsen is the Lead Pastor of Venture Church in Bluffton, SC. Shaun is a visionary leader that pioneered a church merger in the wake of the COVID Pandemic while his church was homeless, instigated a redesign of the church property, and now Venture Church has grown by over 100% in the past year! We are so blessed to have Shaun with us today!

Jonathan Pearson currently serves as the Teaching Pastor of Springwell Church in Greenville, SC. Jonathan and Pastor Kevin have a friendship that goes back well over a decade. Jonathan was one of the first leaders to believe in the vision of Vortex Church. He has served as one of our Overseers, a board of Pastors from around the country that oversee Pastor Kevin, since we started almost a decade ago. Jonathan is one of the best young leaders in the church today, and we are honored to have him with us to speak!

As we close out our series "Come To The Table" Jen Barker is closing with teaching us how we need to be inviting our neighbors to our table. You might be asking, "Who is my neighbor?" or "How do I love my neighbor?" During this message Jen Barker is answering those two questions for us!

Every family has a table. This is practically true in the sense of having a kitchen table. It is also symbolically true. During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is teaching how parents have the job of leading their kids towards something that will sustain, empower and give them purpose.

Who are you inviting to your table? This is an important question to ask because who we have at our table matters. During this message, Maddie Brown is teaching through who we need to be inviting to our table!
