Build It Now | Week 1

God can’t turn your mess into a message if you won’t accept it! We are walking through the story of where we find Nehemiah in this position of accepting the mess. During the message, Pastor Kevin Simmons gives us ways of how we can make things right in the middle of the mess.

5x5 Labor Day 2023 | Second Service

Each year on Labor Day weekend, 10 members of the Vortex staff have the chance to share for 5 minutes about what God is doing in their lives. This year the theme was 'without Christ' and 'In Christ'. It's a journey, into the heart of each person, as they share their lives before and after their relationship with Christ. There are 10 talks total and each one is unique and worth listening to. Service One is Jon Mikesell, Gina Simmons, Stu Mary, Lindsey Toole, and Jen Barker. Service Two is Brian Barker, Maddie Brown, Erika Roberts, Zach Harwood, and Amanda Simmons. Check them both out!

That’s Fire | Pastor Eric Partin

Pastor Eric Partin planted Shoreline Church in Destin, FL back in 2005. He serves as one of Vortex Church’s Overseers and is a constant source of wisdom and encouragement to Pastor Kevin and his family. Eric and his wife, Darlene, has a deep passion for reaching unchurched people and a deep love for their city. Eric is a pastor and leader who loves Jesus and people. That is evident in the church and within his family. We’re very excited to have him with us today!

That’s Fire | Pastor Shaun Olsen

Shaun Olsen is the Lead Pastor of Venture Church in Bluffton, SC. Shaun is a visionary leader that pioneered a church merger in the wake of the COVID Pandemic while his church was homeless, instigated a redesign of the church property, and now Venture Church has grown by over 100% in the past year! We are so blessed to have Shaun with us today!

That’s Fire | Pastor Jonathan Pearson

Jonathan Pearson currently serves as the Teaching Pastor of Springwell Church in Greenville, SC. Jonathan and Pastor Kevin have a friendship that goes back well over a decade. Jonathan was one of the first leaders to believe in the vision of Vortex Church. He has served as one of our Overseers, a board of Pastors from around the country that oversee Pastor Kevin, since we started almost a decade ago. Jonathan is one of the best young leaders in the church today, and we are honored to have him with us to speak!

Inviting Your Neighbor | Jen Barker

As we close out our series "Come To The Table" Jen Barker is closing with teaching us how we need to be inviting our neighbors to our table. You might be asking, "Who is my neighbor?" or "How do I love my neighbor?" During this message Jen Barker is answering those two questions for us!
